Who we are

Bentham Acoustics Corporation (“Bentham Acoustics”, “we”) is an acoustics, noise and vibration engineering practice at 5200 Yonge Street, Suite 200, Toronto, Ontario M2N 5P6. This policy explains how we handle personal information collected through this website.

What we collect

When you contact us through the website, we collect what you choose to send: your name, company, email address, phone number, project name and message.

Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically records basic technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit, to keep the site secure and working.

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand how the site is used. It does not use cookies and does not fingerprint or track individual visitors across sites. It reports aggregate information such as page views, referring sites and country.

How we use it

We use the information you send to respond to your enquiry, prepare a proposal if you ask for one, and keep a record of our correspondence. We do not sell, rent or trade personal information, and we do not add you to a mailing list without your permission.

Who we share it with

We share personal information only with service providers that help us run the website and our email, such as our hosting, form and email providers. They may store information outside Canada, where it may be subject to the laws of that country. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries for as long as needed to respond and to maintain business records, and then delete them. If your enquiry becomes a project, it is kept with that project’s records.

How we protect it

We use reasonable safeguards, including secure connections to the website and access limited to the people who need it.

Your choices

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or withdraw your consent and ask us to delete it, subject to any legal or business record requirements. Contact our privacy officer, Eric Salt, at .

If you have a concern we have not resolved, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top shows when it last changed.
